Making waves: rum takeover comes to Chichester Marina
Rum cocktails, live music and waterside dining are on the menu at Chichester Marina this August Bank Holiday, as Boathouse Chichester welcomes Tidal Rum for a special one-day takeover on Sunday 30th August from 1pm. A dedicated Tidal Rum bar will pop up under the stretch tent in Boathouse Chichester’s shaded garden for the event, serving rum cocktails throughout the day. The Lobster Hatch will also be open, serving its summer favourites alongside freshly made pizzas from the outdoor pizza oven. Guests can enjoy the garden or find a spot on the benches or in the huts by the Lobster Hatch to enjoy views across Chichester Marina.
Live music will kick off at 1pm, with local duo Change of Plan performing until 3pm. DJ Matt King Cole will then take over from 4-8pm, providing the soundtrack as the event continues into the evening. The venue’s Tinwood Bar, which opened a few weeks ago in partnership with West Sussex-based Tinwood Estate, will also be open in the garden. Art Tukker, owner of Tinwood Estate, will join the team at Boathouse Chichester from 3-4pm for a special tasting of its locally produced English sparkling wine. Sean Murphy, Venue Operations Manager at Boathouse Chichester, said, “We’re always looking for ways to make the most of our location here at the marina, so we’re really pleased to be teaming up with Tidal Rum and Tinwood for the August Bank Holiday. “It’s going to be a relaxed day with plenty going on, whether you want to grab some food by the water, try one of the Tidal Rum cocktails or stay for the live music and DJ. “We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone down and hopefully seeing the marina busy and buzzing for the last Bank Holiday of the summer.”
