Sous Chef - The Boat House Café, Swanwick Marina

The Venue
Open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Our guests enjoy fantastic views of Swanwick Marina, either from the café or our large drinks terrace located adjacent to the water. Our menu offers a selection from light bites to classics, whilst our chef creates an ever changing evening bistro menu. Attracting local regular customers as well as visitors to the beautiful nearby River Hamble walks our customers can expect a warm, friendly and informal welcome where we hope to make our customers feel as welcome as their own home.

The Role
In our eyes a Sous Chef is the future Head Chef in one of our sites, which we expect
to nurture and train but also share as much of the Head Chef’s responsibilities as
possible so they are ready as soon as a role becomes available internally.
Hugely influential within the team the Sous Chef will mentor and coach newer
members of the team and will aim to inspire and motivate the team to create and
execute beautiful dishes.

The Person
To enable us to spread the word to our customers about the importance of the art of
serving good, fresh and local food in an ever-increasing world where convenience is
becoming the norm, we need people who have a love and passion for all things food.
The Experience
Previous experience within a restaurant, pub or bar where you have cooked fresh
and seasonal food to Sous, Junior Sous or Senior CDP level

Relief Chef - Ideal Collection, Southampton

Our current portfolio of 5 sites across Hampshire and West Sussex is a diverse mix of operations from casual bistro to 1 Rosette Gastro pub but at the heart of every menu is the same integrity to use quality ingredients, local suppliers and to make everything fresh and from scratch. We are fanatical about food, hospitality and our customers.

The Role
Here at Ideal Collection we are looking for a relief chef to join part of the central
team, moving across sites to support our internal kitchens with cover for holidays,
sickness and new openings.
Working hours to suit both parties there is as many hours as a candidate desires all
whilst having the security of working directly with an employer who has a proven
track record of being a great employer.
The role would require travel so a drivers license is essential.

The level required for this role is Sous Chef.
